Marvel Rivals is now supported in Formation, plus rank ladders for five more games

Formation now supports Marvel Rivals as a team game, and rank tracking has grown from five games to eleven. Here is what changed and how team average ranks work.
Marvel Rivals is now a game option
When you create or edit a team, you can now choose Marvel Rivals. Roster entries for that team get a rank picker with the full ladder, and the team page shows the team's average rank.
The Marvel Rivals ladder runs, from lowest to highest: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Grandmaster and Celestial (each in three divisions, III up to I), then Eternity and One Above All.
Rank ladders for more games
Until now, rank pickers and average ranks worked for Valorant, League of Legends, Rocket League, Counter-Strike 2 and Overwatch 2. Every other game fell back to a generic skill scale. These games now have their own ladders:
- Apex Legends: Rookie, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond (four divisions each), then Master and Apex Predator.
- Rainbow Six Siege: Copper, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Emerald and Diamond (five divisions each), then Champion.
- Fortnite: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond (three divisions each), then Elite, Champion and Unreal.
- Call of Duty: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Crimson (three divisions each), then Iridescent and Top 250.
- Dota 2: Herald, Guardian, Crusader, Archon, Legend, Ancient and Divine (five stars each), then Immortal.
How the team average rank works
Each rank is a position on its game's ladder, lowest to highest. To average a team, Formation averages the positions of everyone on the roster who has a rank set, rounds to the nearest step, and shows that rank's name. A team of one Gold player and one Platinum player lands between the two, at the nearest division.
Ranks that are not on the ladder, for example after a game changes its system, are ignored rather than breaking the average.
A note on top-of-ladder ranks
Several games make their top rank a leaderboard position rather than a rating band (Apex Predator, Top 250, Unreal, Immortal, One Above All). Formation treats each as the top step of its ladder, so it counts as the highest rank when averaging.
Games without a public ladder
Some games have no official ranked ladder, such as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Those, and anything you enter under Other, use a simple generic scale from Beginner to Pro, so average skill is still available.
